What we now call Curry County are the traditional lands of the Chetco, Tututni, Quo-to-mas, Lower Rogue River, Yah-shuts, Coos, and many other Tribes who made their homes along the Rogue River. Today the Northwest American Indian Coalition is dedicated to working to advance the educational and economic opportunities for Native Americans in Oregon. November is National Native American Heritage Month.
