Volunteer Application

The Northwest American Indian Coalition (NAIC) is a Native-led nonprofit dedicated to protecting ancestral lands, uplifting Indigenous communities, and advancing cultural healing across Curry County and surrounding regions. Our programs are rooted in cultural stewardship, environmental justice, traditional knowledge, and intergenerational resilience.

We believe community transformation happens through relationships, respect, and reciprocity — and volunteers are a vital part of that vision.

Whether you're interested in helping at cultural events, supporting environmental stewardship projects, joining field teams, or lending your skills behind the scenes, there is a place for you at NAIC.

What to Expect as a Volunteer

As a NAIC volunteer, you’ll be invited to:

  • Participate in hands-on restoration, gathering, or cultural events

  • Support Indigenous-led community education and health campaigns

  • Assist with storytelling, archival, or research work

  • Join one of our special teams (events, media, land monitoring, etc.)

  • Build relationships and deepen your understanding of Indigenous values and community priorities

We offer flexible opportunities for youth, elders, families, students, and community allies. Some roles may involve outdoor work, event coordination, or long-term planning — others might be short-term or remote. We’ll help match your interests and skills to current opportunities.
