C-SHARP
Curry County Springs and Headwaters
Adaptive Restoration and Protection Program
C-Sharp is a Native-led program safeguarding the sacred sources of clean water in Curry County.
Springs and headwaters are the birthplace of our waters.
They sustain salmon, wildlife, forest and our communities.
Protecting these places means protecting our future, our culture and our future generations.

About the Program
C-SHARP (Curry County Springs and Headwaters Adaptive Restoration and Protection Program) brings together native-led place-based knowledge, science, and community priorities to restore and protect spring and headwater systems across Curry County.
Water connects us all. Water is life. When we care for the source, we care for our people and the land.

As part of this work, NAIC is developing a public-facing digital StoryMap to help community members, partners, and supporters better understand springs, headwaters, and watershed stewardship in this region. This resource is designed as a teaching tool that shares selected public-safe stories, maps, and observations while protecting sensitive cultural and ecological information.
Some locations and forms of knowledge are intentionally
generalized or withheld in order to protect sensitive places.
CSHARP supports intergenerational learning by bringing youth, families, and community members into closer relationship with local watersheds. Through field-based observation, public education, and stewardship activities, the program helps rebuild relations with freshwater systems while reinforcing that care for water is a shared responsibility across generations.
