NAIC as been awarded a 2023 Community Relations and Innovation Grant from Potlatch Fund.

As the BOEM progresses plans for large-scale ocean wind farms off our coastline, NAIC wishes to express our concerns regarding potential impacts on both the environment and our tribal communities.

Through a grant provided by the Curry County Cultural Coalition, we have embarked on a mission to collect, document, and preserve the wealth of TEK that resides within the stories, genealogy, and ecological wisdom of our Elders. These cherished insights are not only a testament to our history but also a guiding light for our future generations.

Rooted in the philosophy of healing, reconciliation, and revitalization, rematriation not only rejuvenates the bond between indigenous people and their land but also sheds light on the crucial role that women have traditionally played in safeguarding and nurturing these lands.
