NAIC Receives Charlotte Martin Foundation Grant for Vital Conservation Project

NAIC is proud to announce that we have been selected to receive a General Support grant from the Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples.

The Northwest American Indian Coalition (NAIC) is proud to announce its partnership with AlertWest, AlertWildfire, Oregon Hazard Labs, and the US Forest Service Gold Beach District to introduce a state-of-the-art fire detection camera system.

NAIC as been awarded a 2023 Community Relations and Innovation Grant from Potlatch Fund.

As the BOEM progresses plans for large-scale ocean wind farms off our coastline, NAIC wishes to express our concerns regarding potential impacts on both the environment and our tribal communities.

We are honored to share our heartfelt gratitude for the collaboration, outreach, and community engagement that made our recent talk, titled "Understanding Wildfire Impacts on the Kalmiopsis Wilderness; Preserving Traditional Ecological Knowledge for Community Safety," at the Travel Oregon Welcome Center at Crissey Field Recreation Site a success.

Through a grant provided by the Curry County Cultural Coalition, we have embarked on a mission to collect, document, and preserve the wealth of TEK that resides within the stories, genealogy, and ecological wisdom of our Elders. These cherished insights are not only a testament to our history but also a guiding light for our future generations.
